Help me find my way out
I've come to terms with myself
Don't get ahead of your mind
Feel the aching inside
Nothing is ever easy
When everything you own is lost
Bring me down
From this cloud on the ground
Dirty, dark and destitute
I've made my way here
With no plans to return back home

But
There is safety in the dark
There is comfort in pain
There is love in betrayel
And there is hope down here

I don't like what I've become
Satisfaction has a price
What have I done to myself
And to those I love
I had an image of a girl
Now everything is in it's place
Just as I had planned
But when it all falls apart
You just don't realize what you had
And you want to turn back

But
There is safety in the dark
There is comfort in pain
There is love in betrayel
And there is hope in me

I will make you believe
Just listen to me
I can make you feel alright
I can bring you to your knees
I'm the only one you have

So you better be good to me

And there is strength in being wrong
There is peace when your alone
There is freedom in a lie

No matter what the cost
Believe in what you want
There is no hope down here

you wish you were better than everyone. you're not. you're an idiot. your family clearly tries their hardest to make you feel good about yourself. grow some tits.

the freedom is in the truth, sweetheart. there is no love in betrayal, and living in the safety of the dark will be unfulfilling. if you lay down with a dream, you'll wake up lonely. open your eyes. sometimes your wants cost you the things you love the most, and you pay more than what you bargained for. it isn't worth it.
I hope that you will see the light. I hope that eventually you will be ok.

Oh my God.... clearly no one got that poem. People are so dumb. Take a fucking poetry class. Wow... it's so easy for people to misunderstand.

um.. well poetry is all about interpretation. there are no clearly defined rules. so without the respective author telling us exactly what it is that she meant, anybody's guess is considered fairly accurate. besides, it looks like the only person who actually read the poem was post #3. these comments look like personal attacks on the author herself, not references to the poetry.
